Yep, you read it right. Consuming this spice certainly can turn your life around. But what spice could possibly cause such a drastic change on your life, you ask? That would be turmeric. Turmeric originated in India and surrounding regions thousands of years ago and has been known to contain many health benefits. This medicinal herbs contains a compound called curcumin which carries the properties that you so desire. Curcumin contains anti-inflammatory properties and is also a very strong antioxidant. Okay, I may have exaggerated a little bit. Maybe turmeric won’t turn your life around completely, only you have the power to do that. But it can benefit you in ways no other spice can.

Curcumin in turmeric may also help prevent Alzheimer’s Disease, the leading cause of Dementia. Patients who took 1-4 grams of curcumin a day showed that their rate of cognitive decline had stopped. However, there has not been much research on curcumin preventing Alzheimer’s, so it is not a definite method to, you know, not lose your memory. Curcumin may also prevent heart disease, which is one of the world’s leading killers. So, ingest that turmeric and avoid heart disease. No one wants you to be diagnosed with that. One study shows that curcumin can be just as effective as exercising to prevent heart disease, and patients taking curcumin experienced a 65% decrease in risk of a heart attack.
So, in conclusion, eat some Indian food. It’s good for your health and your taste buds.
